WEDNESDAY’S ANIMAL WISDOM ~ Animals from the Colour Deck of Divine Intent (the 1-13 Colour Rays)
From time to time, an Animal paper — in summary or in full — will be published here on the website (and/or on the Facebook page) with the intention to introduce them to a new audience or perhaps reacquaint them with you if you have ‘met’ them already. The aim is to always present these Animals on a Wednesday, although some Wednesdays there may be no calling/need to feature a creature! So please check in here on a Wednesday if you wish to keep track of this series.

This Wisdom series, begun in 2016, aims to introduce some of the Animals who share the natural world with all Beings. Many of these Animals have shared their wisdom over the past 16+ years with us and may be found throughout the Peace Space work. On occasion, the Wednesday Wisdom Animal will be new, previously unpublished in any of the existing Peace Space manuals. All are shared here with thanks to Peace Space contributors — past, present and future.

Cheerfulness — Self Worth — Close to Home — Personal Power — Strength — Dignity — Source Connection

These cheerful little birds live in strongly bonded community flocks and ask you to check on how you are feeling about life. Are you happy with how you are, and are you feeling cheerful? Sparrows originated from Europe and as civilization moved to more faraway lands the migrants took these little birds with them to ease their sense of “homesickness”. Sparrow is a wonderful reminder, then, to look within and reconnect with your true home and source of spiritual sustenance. Sparrow will remind you to stay in touch with your true home within as you journey forward on your spiritual pathway of new change and growth.

Many stories have been told about Sparrows and none is more poignant than the tale of the Sparrow who was with Christ throughout his Crucifixion, thus making this bird a symbol of triumph over long and arduous suffering. During the Middle Ages Sparrow became the symbol for the lower classes and peasants who often felt pressured and helpless under the rule of the powerful overlords. Stories of how the Sparrow held its strength and power to triumph over larger predators such as eagles and bears, for example, fascinated and inspired the common people into standing strong against the will and push of tyrants. A meditation with Sparrow will help you to stand in your true personal power so you can find renewed self-worth and dignity in the face of oppressive energies. For those on the spiritual path, it will be useful to remember that you do not have to leave home physically to feel a little homesick. While on the journey of quick change and growth, you will be wise to check your groundedness in order to weather the shifts in your new realities. If you do feel a little ill while moving to new levels of consciousness, then let Sparrow travel with you as a totem to guide you through the denseness of weathering your new changes, and, onwards to a clearer conscious awareness.

Sparrow lives where humans live and it’s rare to find one on its own in the bush. In this, Sparrow suggests that, when you feel isolated and lonely on your spiritual quest, you should remember to take Sparrow as your totem. Stay close to home (that is, within yourself, or close to others who are like-minded). While often considered a pest by government bodies who arranged many a campaign to eradicate them, these little birds proved most adaptable and banded together feeding successfully on crumbs and scraps of civilisation along with grains, insects, worms, fruit or buds they found. Sparrow is truly humanity’s companion and provides you with a powerful energy—big enough to assist you to maintain personal power and help you to adapt to any situation life may present to you.

Sparrow urges you to stay strong, positive and cheerful regardless of what difficulties you may face in life.
